Blogger issues

Sara's told me that she's unable to post comments on my blog. I see some of you are able to do it, but is anyone else having trouble commenting? At this stage I think most of you out there know me, so if you run into problems email me, or contact me on facebook, and I'll try to resolve the issue.

I'm brand new to Blogger, so I'm still getting used to it. You might notice I've tweaked the font to a sans serif; I think it looks better. One thing I DON'T like is, when I post, it reduces my "two spaces after a period" to one. Ms. Hutchinson, my college English teacher, would be enraged.

Update - After browsing the Blogger help forums I've changed my comment settings to use a pop-up window for commenting. It's claimed this will be compatible with more PCs. Sara, I hope you can comment now! :)

I hate to tell you this, Matt, but these days one space has become the standard.

Two spaces after *every* period? Really? I was never taught that. And I can't think of a single book like that.
But of course we live in Internet days and so what drives me nuts (especially with my students) is that capitalization has now become optional.

oh well
i dont like to type extra characters anyway

The funny thing is, I started out as a kid using one space, and then at college the two-space habit was beaten into me. Now I can never go back.

Which means, I guess, that automatic software to correct my curmudgeonness is a good thing.

Two spaces after a period! Yes!! (I learned it that way and can't make my fingers do anything else.)
